DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTRONIC MAGAZINES:
We have researched several distribution methods over the past few years. As this is a new concept , we have opted for distribution of 10 ,000 CD travel Guide Magazines to a very targeted market as well as a programme for free downloads.

We have also taken into consideration that we are dealing with new concepts in advertising and distribution of information. Therefore, we have built in several options, which will allow new readers to familiarize themselves with this type of medium.


1. Distribution of the CD Travel Guide Magazine:
Although we have several distribution channels, the distribution ratios will vary from time to time. This will enable us to maximise our impact on the market. The following is a guideline. Another way in which the distribution can be affected, is when an advertiser takes up a large portion of the magazine and requests distribution to be changed. Please note: This is not possible for the three main tourism showcases, unless the advertiser is specifically involved with the particular shows.

March
The March issue distribution is geared at maximising impact for the ITB Tourism showcase.

April
The April issue distribution is geared at maximising impact to promote winter tourism. This is an area where much promotion needs to be done as tourism product owners often suffer through the winter months. Areas for distribution will include photography, Game viewing , Birding and activities that are better suited to the winter months. FITUR show – Valencia, Spain 7-10 April

May
The May issue distribution is geared at maximising impact for the Indaba Tourism showcase. This will be a bumper issue with focus on maximising local and international tourism

June

Jan/February 2006
During this period there are several shows in the USA focussing on Adventure Tourism. This is a market that Africa should participate in as it has so much to offer. We are currently negotiating at creating a presence at these shows. This is part of our ongoing plan to promote tourism to the USA market.

In addition to the monthly focus areas, we also use the following distribution channels;
Tourism offices – Airports, Ushaka, V&A, and other key tourism offices
V&A – Over 20 million visitors
Ushaka – Over 8 million projected visitors

Corporate businesses – both for business tourists as well as the MICE market

South African Tourism and its international tourism offices – ( 16 of)

Distribution of the downloadable Travel Guide Magazine:
International Distribution:

In addition to making the electronic magazine available free of charge on CD, we also have a facility whereby tourist trade and tourists can download the magazine from our website. To promote this service, we have extensive travel databases available plus internet marketing services , to mail out our newsletter which promotes the magazine.

We have extensive databases for both the local and international market


In addition, we have a programme whereby our newsletters are sent to thousands of targeted recipients per month.

Currently, we are downloading close on 20 000 copies of the first FREE issue. We are targeting a minimum of  30 000 by the end of this year.
