On Air provides you with an opportunity to experience the Victoria Falls in all its splendour. One of the world's most spectacular falls which drops over 100m into a steeply-walled gorge.
Described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800's as 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' the 'Smoke that Thunders'. Columns of spray can be seen from miles away as over 500 million cubic meters of water per minute plummet over the edge which spans two kilometres.
On Air will allow you to fully appreciate the incredible size of the Falls, and the awesome power of the water as it carves into the deep gorges. This will be an experience never to be forgotten.
On Air is situated at Boabab Ridge, a site chosen for both its proximity to the falls as well as the noise considerations, and is the preferred operator for Sun International in Livingstone.
Short Flight
Soaring above the thundering Victoria Falls, the pilot will circle, offering superb views from every angle including the gorges below and the Zambezi River above this spectacular waterfall. The trip includes flying along the Zambezi to Long Island where one can normally see elephant and hippo.
Long Flight
Taking off, we head into the gorge below the Falls, skimming above the rapids of the Zambezi River, an exhilarating experience! Thereafter the pilot will circle the Falls, returning over the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park where we hope to spot some of Africa's big game such as elephant and rhino.
